Navratri to Diwali: A Festive Season Lead Generation Checklist for Small Businesses

Festive enquiries arrive in a rush and most get lost in the noise. This checklist gets your WhatsApp form, replies, and team ready before the peak season starts.

The Festive Rush Rewards the Prepared

From Navratri through Diwali, customers search, compare, and message several businesses in the same evening. The ones who capture the enquiry cleanly and reply first usually win the order. The ones still typing "please share your details" lose the customer to the next shop.

Here is a checklist you can finish in an afternoon.

1. Build One Dedicated Festive Form

Don't reuse your everyday enquiry form. A festive form can be shorter and more specific — what they want, how many, and by when.

Fields worth including:

  • Full Name (Text, required)
  • Phone Number (Phone, required)
  • What are you looking for? (Dropdown) — your festive categories
  • Quantity or Budget (Choice)
  • Needed By (Date, required)
  • Delivery or Pickup? (Choice)
  • 2. Put the Cut-Off Date in the Form Description

Festive demand has hard deadlines. Write "Last date for custom orders: 3 November" at the top of the form so customers self-select and you aren't turning people down one by one over chat.

    3. Put the Link Everywhere Customers Already Look

  • Instagram bio and Stories — pin a festive Highlight with the form link
  • WhatsApp Status — post your festive range and link the form
  • Shop counter and bills — print a QR code that opens the form
  • Google Business Profile — update the booking or enquiry link before the rush
  • 4. Prepare Three Reply Templates

Write them now, while you're calm:

    > "Hi [Name], thanks for your enquiry! Your order for [item] is noted. Delivery by [date] is possible — shall I confirm?"

    > "Hi [Name], we're fully booked for [date]. The earliest we can do is [date] — would that work for you?"

    > "Hi [Name], here is our festive price list. Happy to customise — what's your budget?"

    5. Decide Who Replies

If more than one person handles enquiries, split them up in advance. On WhatsLead Pro you can add several WhatsApp numbers and rotate new leads across your team so nobody is overloaded and nobody is missed.

    6. Check Your Responses Every Evening

Make a 10-minute daily habit of reviewing what came in, replying to anything still pending, and noting what customers are asking for most. That last part tells you what to stock more of before the final week.

The businesses that treat the festive season as a system rather than a scramble are the ones that end it with a full order book.
