WhatsApp Forms for Lawyers and Advocates — Screen Enquiries Before the Consultation

Legal enquiries range from a simple notice to a complex dispute. A WhatsApp form sorts them by case type and urgency so your time goes to the right matters first.

Not Every Enquiry Is the Same Kind of Matter

A legal practice receives property disputes, cheque bounce cases, family matters, consumer complaints, and simple documentation requests — often all in the same week. Finding out which is which over a dozen phone calls costs hours.

Fields to include:

  • Full Name (Text, required)
  • Phone Number (Phone, required)
  • Nature of Matter (Dropdown) — Property / Family / Criminal / Consumer / Cheque Bounce / Business & Contracts / Documentation / Other
  • Brief Description (Paragraph, required) — "In two or three lines, what happened?"
  • Any Court Date or Deadline? (Date)
  • City or Court Jurisdiction (Text)
  • Upload Relevant Documents (File Upload) — notices, agreements, orders
  • Preferred Mode (Choice) — Office visit / Phone call / Video call
  • Why the Deadline Field Is the Most Valuable

A hearing next week or a notice that expires in ten days changes your priority completely. Asking for it up front means urgent matters never sit unnoticed at the bottom of a list.

    Where to Share the Form

  • Google Business Profile — "advocate near me" and "property lawyer in [city]" are common local searches
  • Your website and visiting card — a QR code that opens the form is easy to print
  • Referral networks — chartered accountants, real estate agents, and fellow lawyers refer clients with matters outside their practice
  • Keep Expectations Clear

Add a short line in the form description: "Submitting this form does not create a lawyer–client relationship; we will contact you to discuss your matter." It sets the right tone and manages expectations from the first step.

    > "Hello [Name], thanks for the details. I've reviewed your note on the property dispute. I can speak with you tomorrow at 11 am for a short consultation — please keep the sale agreement handy."
